Ariana Grande is a busy lady and she does not have time for your chauvinistic bullcrap. After one male fan crossed a line, Grande popped off on social media to let everyone know that sexism and objectifying women is not OK.
Grande explains that she was out grabbing some food with her boo Mac Miller when an adorer followed her back to her car and made some innappropriate comments about her relationship.
"This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I felt sick and objectified ... I am not a piece of meat that a man gets to utilize for his pleasure. I’m an adult human being in a relationship with a man who treats me with love and respect," she wrote on Twitter, explaining her frustration with the situation.
“It hurts my heart that so many young people are so comfortable enough using these phrases and objectifying women with such ease," she added.
Ariana is also encouraging other women to refuse to remain silent when confronted with such blatant disrespect: “We need to talk about these moments openly because they are harmful and they live on inside of us as shame. We need to share and be vocal when something makes us feel uncomfortable because if we don’t, it will just continue. We are not objects or prizes. We are QUEENS.”
Let's all make it a goal to tell off at least one misogynist before the day is over in honor of Ariana.
