Beyonce Is Getting Mom-Shamed Over An Instagram Photo

One of her recent date night photos is causing quite the debate.

No one is safe from getting mom-shamed — not even Beyonce.

New mom Bey and hubby Jay Z stepped out for sushi last week, enjoying food and wine like any other couple on date night. And like anyone else with an Instagram account, Bey shared a handful of photos from her night out, including a couple of pics of her and Jay sipping on what looks to be red wine.

But here's where things get ridiculous. According to The Huffington Post, faux-concerned commenters rushed to theorize about whether or not Bey is breastfeeding in the comments section of her red wine pic, and then criticized her for drinking wine if she is.

It should be said that it's perfectly safe for breastfeeding mothers to drink wine, as long as they allow the alcohol to leave their system before breastfeeding again, but that didn't stop the criticism from flowing in.

"If she is nursing the babies, wine ain't good," one wrote. Another added, "She drinks whereas she give her milk?? Mmmh find the problm."

"You feed your children with your breast why do you drink?!" added yet another.

There were also commenters who assumed that Beyonce isn't breastfeeding because she's drinking wine in the pic, and then proceeded to criticize her for feeding her babies formula.

Plenty of fans supported Bey in the comments though, with one writing, "It is insane for slamming a woman for having a glass of wine if she breast feeds. One unit of alcohol is out of your breast milk within two hrs. One glass of wine is not a crime lol! Chill out! You do you B."

When did it get so popular to shame celeb moms for being human? Famous moms have been criticized for everything from how they hold their children to the clothes they choose to dress them in, and it needs to stop. Let Beyonce drink her wine in peace — the world won't end, and Rumi and Sir will be just fine.
