Things are about to get pretty steamy in Brazil. It was announced today that the country will be opening a sex-themed, adults-only amusement park called ErotikaLand.
Sounds crazy, right? ErotikaLand will feature an "erotic sculpture park, genitalia-shaped rides, a museum, and a snack bar serving aphrodisiac dishes," Travel and Leisure reports. There will also be a movie theater with vibrating seats and a nudist pool.
But here's the interesting part - despite the general theme of the park, and the fact that it will include a "sex playground" (whatever that is) - no actual sex is allowed on the premises.
"This won't be a place for nuns, but it's not like we're trying to recreate Sodom and Gomorrah," Mauro Morata, the businessman in charge of the project, said in an interview with The New York Times. "If attendees want to take things to another level, they can go to a nearby motel - which we will operate."
The park is set to open its doors some time in 2018, but not all are in support of this new venture, which will create over 200 jobs for people in the area. The park will be located near the city of Piracicaba, and Matheus Erler, Piracicaba City Council member, expressed his discontent to the NYT.
"We cannot be known as the capital of sex," Erler said.
A fair point, but come on! Who doesn't want to find out what on Earth the "train of pleasure" is? Hint: It features go-go dancers.
