Halloween is just days away and one of the biggest restaurants is getting into the spooky spirit. Fast food chain Burger King decided to troll its rival by dressing up as....McDonald's.
According to RT, one Burger King branch in Queens, New York dressed up as the ghost of McDonald’s. The "scary" costume included covering the building in a large white sheet with the world "McDonald's" scrawled across it. "Booooo. Just kidding. We still flame grill our burgers," a sign read. As fast food fans know, Burger King has long bragged about flame broiling its burgers like the Whopper.
Employees took the costume a step further, adding "McDonald's" to some food cartons.
The clever stunt is at the Burger King located on 92-85 Queens Blvd. Ad Week confirms that the stunt was part of a bigger marketing plan, put together by agency David.
