There sure is a lot of smoke around this not-fire: cops have cleared Chris Brown on his most recent round of assault charges. According to TMZ, cops immediately took Brown's side in the story, and have since gone on to suggest that evidence against the singer was flimsy at best.
The trouble started earlier this month when Brazilian model Liziane Gutierrez claimed Brown had punched her in a Vegas hotel. Brown immediately denied the incident, claiming that such a thing never happened and that Gutierrez was simply mad about not being invited to the Breezy Crew's afterparty.
Almost no evidence existed to suggest that Gutierrez's story was, in fact, true. Helping Brown make his point was the fact that in August of last year, Liziane had made similarly nasty claims against Jason Derulo (who also didn't extend an invitation to an after-party), suggesting that he had "he tried to get the women who did attend do some nasty stuff."
Congrats to Brown on getting those charges dropped, but how long until more surface? We can't imagine he'll stay out of trouble for too much longer.
