The ongoing battle between Chris Brown and his ex Karrueche Tran just keeps getting messier and messier.
Karrueche's temporary restraining order was just extended for another week so that she can continue her efforts to serve Brown with the proper legal paperwork. Tran told a judge back in February that during the course of their relationship, Brown punched her in the stomach multiple times and even pushed her down the stairs. Tran was granted a temporary restraining order but Brown has been evading all attempts to serve him the papers ever since.
Now Chris Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, is claiming that Tran's domestic violence claims aren't true.
"A lot of people use Chris to enhance their profile," Geragos told TMZ, adding that Tran's restraining order case is "doomed to fail."
As for why Geragos won't accept the order on behalf of his client? Geragos responded, "I'm not here to help anybody increase their profile for self-promotion."
Karrueche's manager Jacob York denied Geragos' allegations, calling the idea of Tran taking legal action against Brown simply for press "insane."
"Please don't use Karrueche's name to distract from your client's current negative issues," York said. "Let's handle it in court."
