There were a lot of celebrities at the Women’s March in D.C. and other protests around the world. Many of those who couldn’t make it sent messages of support online and some even roped their men folk into the social media performance. For instance, Ciara, reporting from brunch.
Ciara tweeted a video of Baby Future being coached through perhaps his first celebration of women’s rights alongside Russell Wilson. “All the women should be treated equal,” he says in his baby lisp. Then Wilson gets him to say, “You have my support, ladies.”
Ciara keeps pushing it, trying to make Baby Future flash the peace sign, but he’s got too much of his father in him to be completely controlled. He grins at the camera, adorably mischievous.
Normally, I think kids shouldn’t be forced to mimic the politics of their parents (even when I agree with them), but you have to start teaching boys to respect women when they’re young. And babies' political opinions are a bit confusing for most adults. Look at this protest sign one toddler made:
