If you're a particularly luxury-inclined lady, prepare to see Clementine Desseaux's face a bit more. The plus-sized model has just been named spokesperson for Christian Louboutin's lipstick line. Notably, this marks the first time that the high-end fashion company has selected a plus-size model for any of their campaigns.
"The beauty norm is changing and differences that used to be weaknesses are now turning into strengths," said Desseaux in an interview with The Daily Mail, in which she also discussed the struggles of being a size 12/14 in Paris.
"Being curvy and freckly was never easy back when I was in France," she said. "Now beauty is changing and brands are putting girls that are different in the spotlight. They are opening up to all the beauty that is in the world and not only the European, blond, skinny, white woman type."

Desseaux will also be appearing in the forthcoming plus-size modeling documentary, Straight/Curve, scheduled for release in September 2016. The film aims to "investigate beauty standards in the fashion industry and society as a whole, showing behind-the-scenes interviews with top models, agents, clients, and photographers.” Here's the trailer for that film:
