After Twitter trash talk, diss tracks, and insulting Powerpoint presentations (no, really), has the beef between Drake and Meek Mill finally been squashed?
Meek posted a closeup of diamond rings on his fingers on Instagram yesterday, with the caption "What a time..." It seems like an obvious reference to What A Time To Be Alive, the joint mixtape Drake and Future released last month. The mixtape's cover is a closeup photo of diamonds.
On one hand, Meek's post seems like a fairly straightforward shout out, the kind of reference any fan would make on social media. On the other, it could very well be Meek's clumsy way of trying (and honestly, failing) to throw shade while flexin' on Insta. The latter option seems more likely, when you consider what he posted just a few hours later: a photo of himself staring at a forlorn-looking Drake lookalike. He added the caption "It ain't a secret how I feel about you...We all know it's nothing real about ya!" This, followed by the praying emoji and the hash tag #keepdatfakeshitfromaroundme.
For real, Meek? Maybe Drake needs to hit him with that "3peat" after all.
