Drake season has officially begun. On Friday, the rapper announced on his OVO Sounds Radio that his new album, Views from the 6, will be out this April. In anticipation, the superstar releases “Summer Sixteen,” a bravado-filled track that calls out Meek Mill, Jay Z and even Kanye West’s pool.
“I let the diss record drop, you was staying right below me, n*gga/We musthave played it a hundred times, you was going to bed,” he raps about dissing Meek on “Back to Back.” “Why would I put on a vest I expect you to aim for the head?/I coulda killed you the first time/You don’t have to try to say it louder n*gga/ Trust, we heard you the first time.”
Drake then puts himself in the category of rap legends Jay Z (whose Roc Nation company manages Meek Mill) and Kanye. “I used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella then I turned into Jay/Now I got a house in LA/Now I got a bigger pool than Ye,” he boasts. “And look man, Ye’s pool is nice, mine's just big is what I’m saying.”
Drake’s swimming pool is indeed humongous. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he says that he purchased the house—dubbed the YOLO Estate—due to its pool size. "I was like, 'What are the world's craziest residential pools?' and when I searched online, this came up...This house was the desktop image on my computer years before I bought it."
