Did Sophie Turner use the N-word on video or didn't she? The actress, perhaps best known for her role as Sansa on the HBO hit Game of Thrones, came under fire after video of her seemingly using a racial slur showed up online earlier this week.

The short clip was posted on Tuesday by DJ/fitness guru Brendan Fallis, and shows Turner and her boyfriend Joe Jonas hitting the gym together.

"Look who came today!" Fallis says to the camera before panning over to Turner, who responds with, "What's up, motherf*kers."

The problem? Many felt that it sounded as if Turner said the N-word, rather than "motherf*ckers," and the video quickly went viral, even after Fallis deleted it from his page.

Turner rushed to set the record straight, saying that she'd "never" use such a word.

"I used the word 'motherf*ckers' in a recent video posted in an Instagram story and not a hateful racial slur that has been suggested," Turner said in a statement issued to Page Six. "I am incredibly upset that anyone would think otherwise, and I want to make it clear that I would never use such an abhorrent word."
