Underground wunderkind FKA twigs' videos have always been a mix of Lynchian nightmare and queer erotica with a dash of Afro-futurism thrown in for good measure. Her newest track and the accompanying video, "Good To Love," pares down the science fiction and LGBT motifs for a minimalist romp in a white, white bed.
Directed by twigs herself (with help from a mononymous collaborator named Imma) twigs is no longer voguing in a forrest or channeling the spirit of Queen of the Damned era Aaliyah. Instead, Our Lady of Babyhairs finds herself trapped (caressed?) by the sheets of her bed, singing fondly about a partner.
Gone are the bombastic synths, strangely distorted vocals, and avant-garde percussion. What we get in "Good to Love" is twigs at her most minimal yet. Just vocal and ambiance and pure sultriness.

No word yet on another full length LP or short EP coming soon, but clearly our girl's not done turning out music just yet.
