The world fell in love with #HurtBae, whose real name is Kourtney Jorge, after a video of her confronting her cheating ex-boyfriend went viral. The short video features the former couple sitting face-to-face and coming clean about all the problems in their relationship, one of the biggest being that Hurt Bae's ex, whose real name is Leonard Long III, cheated on her so many times that he lost count.
"I did everything. I had sex with other girls," he says at one point. And while the world — or, at least the internet — has fallen in love with Jorge, Long hasn't been quite so lucky. He's been dealt a ton of criticism online regarding everything from his horrendous actions towards Jorge when they were together as well as the way he acted during the video, but now he's finally giving his side of the story.
"I was definitely emotional," Long said in a recent interview with Krispyshorts on Youtube, in response to the many people admonishing him for not seeming apologetic enough. "Just because it wasn't written all over my face doesn't mean I didn't feel some type of way. That's the way that I process the moment."
"The fact that I hurt her…I can't change that," he continued later. "But I can make sure that it doesn't happen again. I'm 23 years old. I'm a young man trying to navigate the world. I'm going to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes and live my life better…hold myself to a higher standard. I know I'm the most hated guy in America, but I swear I've changed. I would never want to put someone through that again."
Most hated man in America? I wasn't so sure about that, until Long pounded the final nail into his coffin. While talking about all the positive attention (and Instagram followers) Jorge has gotten out of this, he remarks, "I'm proud of her. I hope she gets all that she can out of this."
But he couldn't just leave it there, no. He had to literally pull a Kanye West and add, "I made that bitch famous."
So for those wondering if Hurt Bae's ex is still a jerk? The answer seems pretty clear to me, but I'll leave it to you. You can listen to Long — I refuse to believe #HonestBae is a thing people actually call him — tell his side of the story in the interview below.
