Justin Bieber jumped ship on Instagram in August after getting into a fight with his ex Selena Gomez (in which he accused her of cheating!). She too left the social media platform soon after, saying she needed to see to her health. For most of us, posting images to Instagram isn’t a life-destroying choice, but it appears to be very harrowing for celebrities. Since then Bieber has had lots of free time on his hands, which he’s used to get big tattoos and punch people. Also performing.
On Tuesday, the last night of his Purpose tour in London, Bieber expressed some of his angry feelings about Insta on the O2 Arena stage. In this video you can hear Justin Bieber ask his screaming fans, “Who thinks I should get my Instagram back?”
The unspoken subtext is that it was Bieber’s fans that drove him off Instagram in the first place, attacking his now ex-girlfriend Sofia Richie. He goes on to say, “Nah, I don't want to get my Instagram back. Instagram is for the devil. I'm sure … I think hell is Instagram. I'm, like, 90 percent sure. We get sent to hell and we get, like, locked in the Instagram server. Like, I'm stuck in the DMs. I'm trying to climb my way out and I can't.”
He ends by laughing and saying, “I don’t know what I’m talking about.”
But you do, Justin, you do.
