On Thursday night, in a packed Los Angeles stadium, Kanye West canceled his show mid-performance. The rapper was on his platform, working his way through “Only One,” when he suddenly cut the music.
Fans caught him saying, “Turn on the lights, show’s over...I’m so hoarse. I can't finish the show...I can’t let y’all have a show where I can’t perform for you. I’ll give everyone a refund...I’ll do better next time.”
Some people are complaining that this is “typical” Kanye behavior:
But it was his sixth night in a row of singing/shouting/flying around at the ceiling. Saying your voice is hoarse sounds like a real excuse to me under the circumstances, though probably not a satisfactory one to people looking forward to the St. Pablo Tour. Besides that, you know Kanye loves his fans! Look, here he is trying to save some dummy's life, hanging over the edge of seat:
