Keke Palmer Thinks We Should All Stop Labeling Our Sexuality

Do you agree?

Remember when celebrities would get interviewed back in the day and they would only talk about dumb stuff like their movies and what they eat for breakfast every day? It's 2017, and now celebs who have mainstream visibility like Keke Palmer are openly talking about stuff like fluid sexuality. What a time to be alive.

Palmer took a break from slaying on Instagram to sit down with HuffPo recently and instead of discussing the usual things female celebs are asked about ("What do you eat to stay so thin?"), she discussed why labeling your sexuality is kind of unnecessary.

"You don't have to feel like your sexuality has to be this or that. That's what really stops our growth because we're thinking that we have to make a decision immediately whenever we try something or do something," she explained. "Like, 'Oh I'm straight. I can only be straight for the rest of my life.' Or, 'Oh I'm gay. I can only be gay for the rest of my life.'"

"We label ourselves and put ourselves in these confinements, and when we actually want to try different things at different moments, we're limited because 'Oh that's not me,'" she continued. "We make these things up that stop us from growing. You might change, you never know. People have to understand we're all human beings trying to make our way in this world. We're curious, we're trying things, we're living our lives and experiencing different moments."

Not only has Keke Palmer's sense of style evolved dramatically, but her way of thinking has, too. Even if you don't agree with what she has to say, at least she's saying something thoughtful, and you've gotta respect that.
