Kendrick Lamar, a rapper that even your dad kind of likes, dropped a new track on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Backed by the band from Kendrick's Kunta's Groove tour (not The Roots, as was reported on numerous sites), the new song—which may never be performed again—is a smooth, funky track about shortcuts to success.
Contradictorily titled "Untitled 2," the new track is meant to compliment his untitled Colbert Report track, which was only performed the one time.
“I love God/ But I’m scared of godspeed, sometimes,” he raps. And, “We all came on the boat looking for hope/ And all you can say is that you’re looking for dope."
Lamar later sat down with Fallon to discuss the success of To Pimp A Butterfly among other things, including the viral Super Mario remixes of his track.
