Kesha has broken her silence. Amid her battle with Sony to release her from her contract and allegations against producer Dr. Luke for sexual assault, the singer took to Instagram to share a message with her supporters.
“I am beyond words in gratitude. thank you is not enough but it is all I have. a million times over and forever thank you. the support I have received has left my face swollen from tears," she writes. "I love you all so much. ️ a statement too large for this format is coming....”
Earlier, a judge ruled against Kesha's wish to be let out of her recording contract. Stars like Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham have come out in support of the #FreeKesha movement, which has turned into a larger dialogue about violence against women, feminism and the expectations of women in the music industry. Superproducer Dr. Luke, who has helmed hits for everyone from Nicki Minaj to Katy Perry, took to Twitter to deny all charges that he sexually assaulted Kesha.
