Kesha is moving on professionally. Following her legal battle with former producer Dr. Luke, the singer is focusing on the future. Kesha will guest star on Nashville as herself in an upcoming episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This isn't the singer's first foray into acting. She appeared on Jane the Virgin earlier this season and had a role in the film adaptation of Jem and the Holograms.

Earlier, Kesha filed a high-profile lawsuit against Dr. Luke after alleged abuse and sexual assault. She was denied a preliminary injunction to break her recording contract with him. The singer's mother has spoken out about the negative effects Luke had on her daughter. In a new interview with Billboard, she recounts their 10-year relationship as: "She was a prisoner. It was like someone who beats you every day and hangs you from a chain and then comes in and gives you a piece of bread."

It's good to see Kesha being resilient and continuing her career--now on her own terms.
