Kesha's Mom Is Dropping Her Lawsuit Against Dr. Luke

But at least we have a new Kesha track to look forward to.

Kesha's terrifying battle against our implicitly sexist justice system continues as Pebe Sebert (Kesha's mom) is now dropping her counterclaims against Dr. Luke, which insisted that the producer caused “intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress based on the alleged abuse directed at Kesha."

Despite the growing public support for Kesha, she has lately been on the losing end of a handful of suits in New York, Tennessee, and California. According to Jezebel, this latest suit, filed by Dr. Luke against Kesha and her mother, claimed that the Seberts "conspired to smear his name in an effort to break Kesha’s contract and, when that failed ... circulated rumors to media and industry people that accused Dr. Luke of rape."

Following the dropping of the countersuit, Pebe has seperated from her lawyer. Dr. Luke's legal team issued the following statement via Billboard:

“Pebe Sebert’s voluntary withdrawal of all her claims against Dr. Luke is her acknowledgement that her claims are meritless ... Dr. Luke’s defamation and other claims continue against Pebe and Kesha Sebert.”

On a less horrifying note, Kesha and Zedd's anticipated upcoming cover track now has a release date:
