Kim Kardashian has taken a big swing at one of pop culture’s biggest celebrities, a woman whose public persona is so perfectly crafted that anytime anyone goes off script she loses her damn mind. Taylor Swift, queen of image.
It’s been brewing for awhile that Kim Kardashian does not like how Taylor Swift conducted herself after Kanye West released his song “Famous,” which features the lyric “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous.” After the song came out, Swift made it seem like Kanye was abusing her, and even gave a Grammy acceptance speech that seemed to throw shade in Kanye’s direction. Kim Kardashian said in an interview with GQ and on her show Keeping Up With the Kardashians that Kanye called Taylor Swift up and asked permission to use the lyric. And on Sunday night, Kim showed the receipts.
First, she began with this teaser:
And then the bomb was dropped:
She posted the conversation between Kanye and Taylor Swift to Snapchat, setting off a new round of feuding in the celebrity stratosphere.
Taylor, of course, struck back with a response post, saying that the word “bitch” never came into the convo, and she hates the B-word.
According to TMZ, she is also now suing Kanye for recording her voice without her permission, which is very illegal in California. And other states too, probably; check before you attempt it.
May the celebrity drama of the summer continue!
