It's a girl!
Ever since Kim Kardashian confirmed rumors that she and husband Kanye West are expecting baby number three, fans have been waiting for the reality TV star to reveal the gender of their new baby. Kim remained tight-lipped on the subject for months, but days after she more or less confirmed rumors that she's having a girl by throwing a pink-filled baby shower, Kim has officially announced it during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
During her chat with Ellen, Kim shared that 4-year-old North has started calling the new baby "Baby Sister," Us Weekly reports.
"My daughter thinks she's tricky," Kim said. "We had a baby shower over the weekend, and I thought, 'You know, I really do want to have a baby shower because I want [North] to feel that something's coming and for her to really understand it.'"
"So, people brought toys and gifts and [North] was opening them all up the next day," she continued. "And she goes, 'Mom, since Baby Sister's not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and play with them and make sure they're all okay for Baby Sister.'"
Kim went on to reveal that she and Kanye have yet to decide on a name for the new baby.
"At the baby shower, I was like, 'I just want everyone to write a name on a little tile and see if there is something that sticks,'" she said. "We're freaking out, we have no name."
She explained, "Alright, I'm going to break it down. This is how we work in the family. When there are lots of rumors, we have these family group chats and we threaten each other's lives if we speak for the other one."
"So, for the safety of my life … we just decided there is so much that goes on that we respect each other's right to speak for themselves," she continued. "So I will speak about myself, and hopefully they can come on [the show] and address whatever rumors you might have."
