Laverne Cox has become a somewhat unlikely fashion icon after her brief but incredible role in the television series Orange is the New Black. Now, Cox is showing why she's risen to such ultra-chic heights by serving face and body in a video for Viktor Luna's new collection.
The Project Runway designer has amassed an incredibly diverse cast for a video showing off his new collection. Shot by Out Mag contributor Sophy Holland, the short film features a cavalcade of the coolest queers (with a guest appearance from Jackie Cruz AKA Flaca, also from OITNB) dancing to moves choreographed by underground legend Jonte Moaning.
According to Out: "The collection takes its inspiration from the ancient Sumerians civilization, but includes a futuristic, urban edge with metallics and high-gloss finishes to channel a 1970s disco vibe. Each piece in the collection was handmade at Viktor Luna’s atelier, in New York City."
You can shop the full collection over on Luna's website.
Cox is not only looking amazing, she's also using her platform as a celebrity to educate and advocate for transgender issues and rights. She most recently appeared at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Life event to discuss women's issues and race.
