Lupita Nyong'o Calls Out Vogue For Crediting Her African-Inspired Hair To Audrey Hepburn

After the magazine implied her Met Gala style was inspired by Hepburn, the actress set the record straight.

Lupita Nyong'o sure knows a thing or two about turning heads; she tends to look flawless whenever she steps out in public, and the gorgeously slinky dress and sky-high hair style she rocked at the 2016 Met Gala were especially stunning.

During a red carpet interview with Vogue, Nyong'o credited the "sculptural hairdos from all around the continent" as the inspiration for her Met Gala hair, and Vogue's Andre Talley even called her look "very Nina Simone."

So why did Vogue then publish an article with the headline "Is Lupita Nyong'o The New Audrey Hepburn?" comparing Lupita's Met Gala hair to a style once donned by the iconic actress?

Lupita was none too pleased that the actual inspiration behind her hair was ignored, and responded via Instagram. See Lupita's response - short, sweet, and to the point - in the video below.
