Meek Mill And 50 Cent Defend Rapper Charged With Shooting Up A T.I. Concert

Both Meek and 50 are #TeamTroyAve, apparently.

A shooting at a T.I. concert in NYC last week left three injured and one dead. New York rapper Troy Ave - real name Rolland Collins - was among those injured, having suffered a shot to the leg.

In a shocking twist, Collins was later arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of an illegal weapon, after a surveillance video showed him opening fire backstage at the venue. Collins pled not guilty, while authorities are still trying to figure out what actually happened and why.

Meek Mill and 50 Cent have offered their two cents on the situation, via Instagram. Their take? It was all self-defense on Troy Ave's part.

"Don't let the press 'gas' you to go against ya own people! Because if that was a cop tryna protect his life the police force gone stand behind them 100%," Meek wrote.

50 echoed the sentiment.

"Self defense, that's more like it now. Hold ya head, Troy. See how the story change," he wrote.
