Things might finally be looking up for Meek Mill. After a year spent being Drake's verbal punching bag and taking hit after hit over social media, Meek might be kicking off 2016 on a high note: with an Oscar nomination.
Yes, you read that correctly. The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed the 74 songs that have advanced in the Academy Awards’ Best Original Song category, and Meek is among the chosen. There's a possibility that the "R.I.C.O." rapper just might nab himself an Oscar nom for his work with Jhene Aiko on "Fighting Stronger," a track used in the 2015 boxing film, Creed.
The official nominations won't be released until sometime closer to the 88th Academy Awards, which will air on February 28 next year. In the meantime, Meek is obviously pretty psyched about it:
