Nordstrom Dropped Ivanka Trump's Clothing Line After Boycott

Poor sales led to the decision...

Ivanka Trump has been dropped by Nordstrom. The retailer has announced that it will remove Ivanka's clothing line from its stores following poor sales.

In a statement to The Washington Post, a rep for Nordstrom shared: “Each year we cut about 10% [of brands] and refresh our assortment with about the same amount. In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”

For now, some Ivanka items will remain in stores until all the inventory is sold.

Although Nordstrom did not mention it, there has been widespread boycott against Ivanka's line amid the presidency of her father Donald Trump. Following Trump's statements about grabbing women "by the p*ssy," a group called Grab Your Wallet circulated a list of retailers that anti-Trump consumers should boycott.
