If there's one rule everyone should follow after a breakup, it's this: keep your business off of social media, especially if it's not even technically your business at all.
I'm looking at you, Bow Wow. The rapper is friends with Omarion, who just broke up with his longtime girlfriend - and mother of his two daughters - Apryl Jones. Omarion announced the mutually-agreed-upon split via Instagram on Monday, and April confirmed it on Twitter shortly after, writing (and then deleting) "Single. The End."
As far as celebs breakups go, it could have been a lot messier...but then Bow Wow had to step in. For reasons beyond all of us, he felt the need to address Omarion on Instagram instead of just texting like a normal friend would.
"Bro, you got your freedom! We can hang again!!!" he wrote. And then he suggests they hit up a strip club (AOD aka Ace of Diamonds) together, and added in some comments about how women cause gray hairs just for good measure. I don't even know, just read it for yourself:
Is this a common post-breakup attitude? Yes. But is it appropriate to say all of this publicly, when the couple in question has children together and seem like they're genuinely trying to keep things as non-petty and cordial as possible? Not even a little bit.
After people called him out for being messy, Bow Wow doubled down on his comments.
Ok but like..how do you start and maintain drama over a breakup that has literally nothing to do with you? That's a new level of pettiness, but Omarion's ex Apryl hasn't let it bother her.
"As far as Bow Wow, his friend is Omari," she told E! News. "Whatever he feels like he needs do or say for media purposes doesn't pertain to me. I have two beautiful children that are my main focus."
