Posing nude for a magazine cover during your third trimester seems like a rite of passage for pregnant female celebrities, and you can now add Serena Williams to the long list of A-list women who have done it.
The tennis icon bared it all for Vanity Fair this month, wearing nothing but a flesh-tone thong and waist beads. The result is a truly stunning photograph, shot by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, of Serena as we've never seen her before.
The accompanying interview contains all the details on Serena's relationship with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and her pregnancy that fans have been waiting to hear.
For instance, Serena revealed that when she first learned that she was pregnant, her heart dropped — "Like literally it dropped."
"Oh my God, this can't be—I've got to play a tournament," Serena said. "How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon this year."
She went on to take five more pregnancy tests, just to be sure, and the rest is pop culture history. Serena is reportedly due to give birth in September.
