Tomi Lahren is currently racist white people’s favorite racist. She’s blonde, she’s young, she’s cute, and she’s even been invited on The Daily Show. Charlemagne is a fan, telling women of color they should take cues from Lahren by...using twitter? All sorts of women use Twitter as a platform to promote their ideals, Lahren’s are just particularly troll-y and appeal to the many racists in our country who are thrilled with a Trump presidency.
While there isn’t much that’s funny about a woman like Lahren being so successful (except maybe folks combing through her old ridiculous tweets), there has been the bright spot of Lahren feuding with rapper Wale. It started in early January, when Wale purposefully referred to her as “Tammy” on his new track “Smile,” saying, “The alt-rights hate us/ Some back baby mommas hate us/ We only learn half of the drama, other side crazy/ On behalf of Charlamagne I’m sure he ain’t trading sides/ Maybe I should meet Tammy Lahren, I’ll Lauryn Hill her/ Trainor, she miseducated anyway/ Prolly hate the color of my face.”
To that Lahren tweeted, “So if you're gonna put someone in a song...diss 'em.. perhaps get their fricken name right next time @Wale.”
Wale replied, “Ok Tammy.” I think we can all agree: lol.
Then on Saturday, Lahren tweeted about the worldwide Women’s March protests, writing, “If only these marchers put this much time/effort into their families & life choices. Perhaps then they wouldn't have to glorify abortion..”
To that, Wale tweeted, “Tammy Tammy Lauryn. Your opinion is annoyin.”
It’s a small thing, but it gives me a small sliver of hope. These people do not respond to honesty or integrity, but they sure get pissed when they’re mocked. That’s what happens when you have no sense of humor.
