If you've been following the hottest social media rap beef of the summer, then you probably already know that Remy Ma most recently dissed Nicki Minaj during her Summer Jam performance last week. She performed her diss track "ShETHER," which was to be expected, but she took things a step further by straight up proclaiming on stage, "F*ck Nicki Minaj."
So what was that about? Bossip reports that in a new interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg, Remy got candid about her "ShETHER" performance.
"It was kind of like putting flowers on the grave because the body was already gone," Remy explained.
There's more to life than throwing shade, though. During her set, Remy brought out a ton of other female performers, including Lil Kim, Queen Latifah, Young M.A., and Cardi B., and MC Lyte. As Remy put it, it was all in the name of "unity and love."
"I had a vision last night. I had a dream. I woke up and [I thought] I want to bring all the sisters out at Summer Jam. That's what I want to do with my moment," she explained. "I told them I could stand there and use my 15, 20 minutes and slander somebody down to the ground. Or I could use it and make it a moment that people would remember, uplift my sisters, and show the unity and love."
Female artists teaming up and doing big things together? I'm into it. Check out Remy's interview below.
