Selena Gomez And The Weeknd Made Their 'Ship Instagram Official—Then Deleted It

What does it mean?

Nowadays, nothing’s real until it’s social media official. Nicki Minaj’s break up with Meek Mill wasn’t for sure until she posted about it on Twitter, despite mounting evidence that it had happened. Amber Rose came out with her bae in simultaneous Instagram photos, though there’d be hints on social media for months. In the case of Selena Gomez and The Weeknd starting a relationship, we’ve all basically known for awhile. There were snaps on TMZ, Gomez and Bella Hadid were feuding with their boobs and butt pics. It’s still a bit different to know and to be told.

Too Fab reports that on Monday, Selena Gomez told the world via Instagram that she and The Weeknd are together—and then she took it back. Gomez shared a short black and white video of the two in a gondola in Venice, captioned with a single heart emoji.

And then she deleted it.

So it’s officially unofficial now, I guess. Congrats to the happy, mysterious couple.
