Has anyone really met their soulmate on a dating app? One guy swiped right on over 200,000 women via Tinder and he's still single!
According to The Washington Post, Sebastian Stadil has swiped right on 203,000 women in the San Francisco area. Many experts say that love is a "numbers game" and the 31-year-old software engineer wanted to test if increasing swipes leads to greater romance. He created a special software to automatically swipe and message women for him. His app automated the back-and-forth of Tinder: it swiped right on prospective matches and scheduled coffee dates. The app even compiled women’s answers, pictures, phone numbers and profile information into a handy email.
Through his experiment, he ended up with 150 first dates - very impressive - but no real connection. He's still single and down $6,000 (probably from all those coffee dates). The lonely programmer even published a blog about his experience. Poor guy.
