So this is how the story usually goes: whenever a mother dares to breastfeed her child in public, there's always a stranger who feels the need to either directly or indirectly shame her, sometimes even confronting her directly about how "inappropriate" she's being.
Well, this is one 'breastfeeding in public' story that doesn't end the way you'd expect. In a now-viral Facebook post, photographer/mom Tanja Krstic Radusinovic recalled what happened when she started to breastfeed her nine-month-old son while visiting the local pool. Her son was partially covered with towels as he ate, to help him fall asleep, but that wasn't enough coverage for one stranger.
A man she described as being in his 40s came up to Radusinovic and asked, "Are you breastfeeding your baby?" When she said yes, he replied, "I don't think you should be doing that here."
Well, before Radusinovic could respond - hopefully to tell him just where he could stick his unwanted opinions - an unlikely hero appeared: the man's 70-year-old mother. She walked out from behind the man - whose name is Kevin, apparently - and went off.
"What did you tell that mother, Kevin?" she begins. She doesn't let him answer before she continues, shouting, "What the f*ck, Kevin? I had no idea I raised you like that, Kevin!"
She then informs him that she's not talking to him until he apologizes, and adds that she breastfed him until he was 18 months old. When Kevin complains that she never told him that, she responds, "What's there to talk about? It's f*cking normal, Kevin!"
Beautiful, right? Not all heroes wear capes. Read Radusinovic's post below and bask in the sweet justice of it all.
Poor Kevin, indeed.
