T.I. sent a powerful message against police brutality at last night's BET Hip-Hop Awards. Following artists like Lecrae and Big K.R.I.T., who also invoked Black Lives Matter in their performances, the rapper and television personality channeled the Black Panthers for his song "We Will Not."

During his performance, the Atlanta rapper wore all black and was surrounded by protesters holding signs like "Fight the power," "We will not," and "Us or else." Two white men served as police officers onstage and knocked everyone down, symbolizing the ongoing battle between law enforcement and people of color. At the end, the officers tried to take T.I. down but were unable to.

"United we stand. Look around and see the power around you," the rapper closed. "We gotta stand together. It's us or else. It's do or die. The time is now. They can't kill us all."
