Twitter may have had a good laugh over the #TLCIsGoingToJail hashtag, but there's at least one person who isn't laughing: T-Boz.
During an on-air phone call with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show on Thursday, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins addressed the Twitter backlash she and Chilli faced after failing to deliver their Kickstarter-funded album by the date they originally promised.
"This is the thing: if people would do their research… because [to] everybody who donated, we sent emails weekly. And then on top of that we did a press release. The problem with people... I refuse to address ignorance because there's a lot of followers out there and they hear one comment and they just jump on the bandwagon but fail to do their research. And at the end of the day that's the thing I find really disappointing."
T-Boz wasn't finished there:
"It's mostly our people doing it. You don't ever see other races on the Internet dogging other people out the way black people do each other. It's embarrassing and unfortunate to me. That more so than you trying to assassinate my character. I don't care about that because I know we're doing right. You know what I'm saying? I did the press release. What y'all should be worried about is your lack of knowledge and your ignorance, because you're not doing research. They never do. And that's the point that's disappointing to me - like, the information has been there."
Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas has yet to comment, but you can listen to T-Boz's full phone call below.
