J. Cole's "False Prophets" has everyone in hip-hop talking. Although the rapper didn't name names, it seemed that his second verse is about Wale. "I got a homie, he a rapper and he wanna win bad/He want the fame, the acclaim, the respect that's been had," Cole raps. "By all the legends, so every time I see him, he stressin'/Talkin' 'bout, n*ggas don't fuck with him, the sh*t is depressin.'"
This weekend, Wale responded with his "Groundhog Day."
“I’m heavily flawed, but far from a false prophet,” he says Wale on the track. "The most highly underrated of my generation, behind them crooked smiles n*ggas neglect to embrace me.” The last line is a tip to Cole, who released a song called "Crooked Smile."
The two rappers are keeping their jabs to music only. Yesterday, they hung out together at a basketball game for North Carolina State, proving that they're still very much cool.
