Days After Allegedly Robbing A Hotel With Her Boyfriend, 18-Year-Old Woman Turns Up Dead, Reportedly Shot In The Head
Baylee Elizabeth Wall was found dead in Ohio shortly after she and Gary Eubanks became wanted for robbery in another state.
Two days after a young couple allegedly pulled a hotel robbery in Alabama, one of them was found dead in Ohio.
A body of a woman was found near Woodward High School in Cincinnati Wednesday night, WCPO in Cincinnati reports. Police released images of her tattoos and clothing which led to her identification days later.
The Daphne Police Department has confirmed that she is 18-year-old Baylee Elizabeth Wall, who just days before her death allegedly committed an armed robbery at a Microtel Inn in Daphne, Alabama with her boyfriend Gary Alexander Eubanks Jr., 25. The couple fled the area in Wall's car, police said.
Wall’s death is being investigated as a homicide, according to police. Her family said they were told she was shot in the head, according to local outlet WLOX.
Her stepfather Steven Tillman told the outlet that Wall and Eubanks only started dating back in August. Before the robbery, the couple was staying in Wall’s apartment, according to local outlet WKRC.
Tillman said that in her last correspondence with family, Wall sent a photo of herself with a busted lip and said she was scared and wanted to come home.
“She was a very outgoing person,” he said. “She loved to laugh and, you know, was just your typical 18-year-old girl.”
The teen was also a mother who now leaves behind a child.
Wall’s own mother urged people not to rush to judgment.
“People are going to judge her for one stupid act that we don't even know the full details of,” Angela Wall wrote on Facebook Monday. “Regardless, she was only 18 and still our daughter.”
Eubanks is still at large. Police say he has relatives in the area where Wall was found.
During the robbery, he allegedly had a handgun, according to police. He has not been named a suspect in his girlfriend's death. He was last seen driving Wall’s car, a 2015 black four-door Volkswagen Passat with tag number JGE1791.
Police believe there may have been a third suspect in the robbery but nobody has been identified.
