Florida Man Allegedly Kills Family ‘Execution Style’ After Stealing $200K From Them To Pay For Online Call Girl

 A Florida man is accused of killing his parents and brother “execution style” after allegedly stealing $200K from the family to give to a Bulgarian online call girl he had met on the porn website Cam Girls.

The family disapproved of the relationship and had asked him to move out of the house the night before they were found dead in their Chuluota home, local outlet WKMG reports.

Grant Amato, 29, is accused of killing his father Chad Amato, 59, mother Margaret Ann Amato, 61, and brother Cody Amato, 31, after he failed to follow ground rules the family had set up for him to live at the home, which included cutting off all ties with the call girl.

“Grant Amato initially agreed to the rules his father had set, but he didn’t think they were fair because he felt that the Bulgarian female was his girlfriend and they had a relationship,” the affidavit said, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the family dead at approximately 9 A.M. Friday after one of Cody’s coworkers reported he had not shown up to work that morning.

They discovered Chad in the kitchen and his wife, Margaret, slumped over her desk in a home office, both shot execution style, the local paper reports. Cody's body was found in a storage room near a handgun.

Investigators began to search for Amato, who had allegedly fled from the scene, according to a statement from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

He was later found in a hotel room before being taken in for questioning, where investigators said he admitted to having trouble with his family over the relationship.

After seeing photos of his dead family, Amato allegedly told investigators “his family had been blaming him for months for ruining their lives…so he might as well be blamed for this too,” the arrest affidavit said.

In the months leading up to the shootings, investigators said he stole $200,000 from the family to give to the woman, who he’d been talking with since June.

Cody Amato’s girlfriend told investigators her boyfriend “was afraid Grant Amato would kill everyone” prior to the shootings, the affidavit obtained by the Orlando Sentinel said.

The two brothers had begun to have problems, she told investigators, after Amato allegedly stole $60,000 from Cody. She also said he also sold some of Cody’s guns without his permission.

Another brother, Jason Amato, told authorities Amato had stolen $150,000 from his parents. He was allegedly using the money to pay to talk with the woman.

After discovering the alleged thefts, his parents had insisted he go to a 60-day internet- and sex-addiction program if he wanted to continue to live in the house. He left for the program Dec. 22, but only completed a few weeks of the program before returning home.

It was then that Chad laid out the ground rules Amato would need to follow in order to be able to stay at the home.

Amato's troubles didn’t just extend to his family. Orlando police arrested him in June for grand theft after determining he had stolen vials of Propofol from AdventHealth Orlando, where he was working as a nurse at the time.

His family also reached out to Seminole deputies on Dec. 20, just two days before he left for treatment, after reporting he was missing. They said Amato had been depressed and had told them he was “tired of dealing with everything” and planned to handle it “his own way,” the paper reports.

He’s currently being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
