A new bombshell investigative piece by the Boston Globe reveals plenty of secrets about late NFL star-turned-convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez — including that he was allegedly molested as a child and that he had a sexual relationship with his high school’s quarterback when he was a teenager.

His brother and only sibling, Jonathan Hernandez, told the Globe that the brothers lived in constant fear of their father’s beatings. He claimed that their dad, Dennis Hernandez, assaulted them with barely any provocation, especially when he was drinking. But Jonathan said their father turned especially violent when he felt the boys needed to try harder with either school or sports.

Dennis Hernandez, a janitor, is now deceased.

Their dad wasn’t the only alleged source of abuse.

Jonathan said that, as an adult, his infamous brother confided in him that he had been sexually molested as a boy. He did not tell the Globe any further details or disclose who was behind the alleged sexual abuse.

Jonathan also revealed that his father used anti-gay slurs around the house. The dad was unimpressed by Aaron's desire to be a cheerleader, according to Jonathan.

“My cousins were cheerleaders and amazing,” Jonathan told the Globe. “And I remember coming home and like my dad put an end to that really quick. And it was not OK. My dad made it clear that … he had his definition of a man.”

Even though their father was reportedly homophobic, the Boston Globe revealed that Aaron did have sexual relations with at least one male: the quarterback of his high school football team, Dennis SanSoucie.

SanSoucie told the Globe that he and Aaron had chemistry both on and off the field. Aaron played tight end both in high school and during his professional career.

“Me and him were very much into trying to hide what we were doing. We didn’t want people to know,” SanSoucie told the Globe, claiming that they had an on-again-off-again romance. SanSoucie came out as gay after Aaron’s death by suicide in 2017. Aaron was found hanging in his cell at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, according to the Boston Globe. Just one week before his suicide, Hernandez was acquitted for a 2012 double murder, but was already serving a life sentence for a separate murder in 2013.
