London on Best Ink 104: I knew I wasnt going home.
I wanted to be given the chance to show large scale, quality work.
I just wanted draw to something cool for the Flash Challenge. I gave up caring what anyone thought and drew what made sense to me. Dean was cool. He seemed stoked on my sketch so I was happy with his kind words.
I wasn’t so nervous about the Ink Challenge. Most first time clients are surprised that it doesn’t hurt as bad as they anticipated. But I was pretty annoyed when I found out we had to ink two skins. I wanted to be given the chance to show large scale, quality work. My skins wanted simple henna tattoos. I kept the designs strong in their simplicity and prepared myself for the limited time given to do two pieces. I was very confident with my work and I knew I wasn’t going home.
Jess going home was not a surprise. She’s a really sweet girl and has potential to be a good tattoo artist, but she has issues.
