17-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Records Herself Raping Man At Knifepoint, Avoids Prison

She recorded the assault on her cell phone, and allegedly stabbed the man in his arm and punched him.

A Saginaw, Michigan woman who raped a man at knifepoint when she was just 17 will not serve any jail time. Lestina Marie Smith, now 18, was sentenced on Monday to five years on probation and 25 years on the sex offender registry for second-degree criminal sexual conduct, MLive reports. She was handed 313 days in jail with credit for 313 days already served. Initially, she faced life in prison but in September she pleaded no contest.

Smith allegedly raped a 19-year-old man in his car back in January. She used a steak knife to force him to perform oral sex on her while videotaping part of the assault. Then, she forced him to have sex with her. The pair had previously dated. They were together for about two months in late 2016, according to the victim’s testimony. Smith jumped into the victim’s car, called him names, punched him, and stabbed him in the arm and poked him under his eye with the steak knife, the victim, now 20, also testified.

After the assault, Smith stabbed his car seats and dashboard. She also mutilated his high school graduation tassel.

"He allegedly had a sex tape that he was going to put out on social media," Smith's attorney, James F. Gust said. "She wanted to make one with him so that she would have one to keep him from putting his out there."

The victim testified that the sex tape was either deleted that night or a few days prior, by Smith. The victim also wrote a letter to the judge, stating he didn’t want Smith to go to jail. According to the Mirror, the victim admitted to calling Smith a “whore” on Facebook before the attack.

Smith was ordered to pay the victim $1,000 for damages to his car.

Back in April, Smith’s mother fainted during a court hearing. She had to be removed from the courtroom on a stretcher after the judge denied Smith bond.
