Charles Manson Had Over 100 Disciplinary Violations While In Prison
And he spends most of his time making voodoo dolls.
Many thought the demise of Charles Manson would be the first high-profile death of 2017 when he was rushed to a hospital last week. Fortunately or unfortunately, Charlie boy is already recovered and on his way back to prison according to Reuters. However, a renewed interest in the notorious personality revealed a few fun facts: Manson had racked up over 100 disciplinary violations before being his hospital stay.
Having spent over four decades in jail, the infamous cult leader had "been cited for assault, threatening staff and possessing a weapon and a cell phone over the years," according to the Daily Mail.
"He threw hot coffee on a guard and spit on a guard's face. He had a saw blade in the sole of a shoe," retired Los Angeles County prosecutor Stephen Kay told People.
"He was making little dolls, but they were like voodoo dolls of people, and he would stick needles in them hoping to injure the live person the doll was fashioned after. He said his main activity was making those dolls," Kay added.
Manson's current health situation is unknown. Although the LA Times suggests that he was suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding, officials are neither confirming nor denying these rumors or commenting on his much-speculated recovery. "We never said he was anywhere else and the law does not allow us to comment on an inmate's medical issues - which should not be taken as confirmation that this inmate was recently in a hospital," Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesman Jeffrey Callison said in an email.
Will Charles still make trouble for prison guards as he gets older and older? Yes, he probably will.
