Former Beauty Queen Admits To Sending Child Porn Of Young Relative

She sold the photos to a Marine in exchange for money and gifts.

Former Mrs. Orange County winner Meghan Alt admitted on Friday to selling sexual photos of a 4-year-old relative to a Marine, People magazine reported.

Alt, 27, pleaded guilty to possessing child porn and lewd acts with a minor, garnering her 300 days in county jail, three years’s probation, 15 days of community service, and treatment for abusing a child.

Alt, who won her crown in 2014, sent the sexually explicit photos of the young girl using her cell phone, getting money and gifts in return, investigators claim. The photos were taken between January and October of 2015, just months after her pageant win, in which she went on to compete for the title of Mrs. California.

Detectives also alleged that Alt worked as a prostitute, a claim for which she was never formally charged.

Alt was arrested in October 2015 after an investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

“As this case underscores, the suspects in these cases come from all walks of life,” said Mark Selby, a deputy special agent for Homeland Security Investigations, in a statement at the time. “The stereotype that such crimes are perpetrated exclusively by ‘dirty old men’ simply doesn’t apply.”
