As The Independent reports, this is the most deadly mass shooting attack in US history. Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo confirmed that the main suspect in the attack is 64-year-old Stephen Paddock. He opened fire at Route 91 Harvest country music festival on the Vegas strip from the 32nd floor of a hotel. He was later shot dead by authorities and officers used explosives to burst into his hotel room. Lombardo shared that several firearms were discovered in Paddock's hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
The motive for the attack has not been determined at this time.
