Mom Who Let Drug Dealer Rape Daughter For Heroin Sentenced To Life
The judge called it "the worst thing that has come before this court."
Judge Leslie Ghiz of Ohio’s Hamilton County Pleas Court called it “the worst thing that has come before this court.” Tuesday 32-year-old mother April Corcoran was sentenced to 51 years to life after pleading guilty to multiple counts of complicity to rape, human trafficking and child endangerment. The victim? Her 11-year-old daughter who Corcoran pimped out to her drug dealer, who raped and sodomized her on four different occasions in exchange for heroin.
Authorities first found out about the unspeakable crime after the girl moved in with her father in 2014. Among the unseemly details are the fact that the pedophile pusher videotaped some of the acts and as a reward Corcoran would give her daughter heroin, which made her vomit. The alleged dealer, 42-year-old Shandell Willingham, is already serving time for child pornography and drug charges in Indiana. He faces the same charges as the repugnant mother and is currently awaiting trial.
The victim, now 13, lives out-of-state with her father and stepmother. She reportedly suffers from suicidal thoughts and is undergoing medial care. Her distraught grandmother said in court “I don't know if my granddaughter is going to be able to have a normal life." In court April Corcoran said “I am consumed by guilt and shame every day,” yet offered no direct apology to the child whose life she has forever altered.
