Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson are going their separate ways.

Blanchard shared in a statement to her private Facebook account that she and her husband of less than two years are no longer together. "People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou," the 32-year-old wrote, according to PEOPLE

The news of their split comes three months after Blanchard was released from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri on parole. She served eight years of a 10-year sentence for the 2015 slaying of her mom, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard.

Following her release, she moved in with Anderson, a Louisiana school teacher, and began to adjust to life as a married woman.

Where is Gypsy Rose Blanchard now?

Since the separation, Blanchard said she has moved in with her father and his family "down the bayou."

"I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am," she shared.

Her father, Rod Blanchard, is married and has two children with his wife, Kristy. The family often appeared in Blanchard's social media posts, though the pictures have since been deleted after she deleted her accounts "at the advisement of her parole officer, so she won’t get in trouble and go back to jail," PEOPLE reported.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Public Relationship

Before taking her social media accounts down earlier this month, Blanchard spoke openly about her relationship with her husband, once revealing that he was "rocking my world every night."

"[Y]eah I said it, the D is fire, happy wife happy life," she continued.

But Blanchard also acknowledged that it would take time to adjust to being a married woman and living under the same roof as Anderson, whom she married in prison in July 2022.

“I’ve never lived with a man,” she previously told PEOPLE. “I grew up with a mom, so I didn’t even grow up with a dad in the house. So, I’m like, ‘I don’t even know what it’s like to live with a man.’”

Her parents were estranged throughout her childhood and her mother, who is believed to have had Munchhausen syndrome by proxy, now known as factitious disorder imposed on another, often isolated Blanchard from her father.

But Anderson said he was excited to start a life with Blanchard, despite the challenges. "We love proving people wrong," he said.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Ex Nicholas Godejohn

Blanchard's ex-boyfriend and co-conspirator Nicholas Godejohn, now 34, remains behind bars after being convicted of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Dee Dee's killing. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
