Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast remake was pretty well-received by Disney fans, but it could have been even better. How? By adding Beyonce.
In a recent interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, director Bill Condon revealed that he originally wanted Beyonce to join the film's cast. Don't get too excited at the idea of Beyonce slaying as Belle, though; Condon, who previously worked with Beyonce on Dreamgirls, was hoping the "Formation" singer would accept the role of Plumette the feather duster.
"I even tried to get her into 'Beauty and the Beast,' but it wasn't a big enough part," Condon explained, after commenting on how "crazy" it is that Beyonce hasn't been in more musicals. "She would have been a good feather duster."
It goes without saying that Beyonce would have killed it, right? Still, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, the stunning and amazingly talented British actress who portrayed Plumette in the film, pretty much killed it, so no complaints here.
