Birdman Threatens "Respect Me, Or Else" During Radio Interview
Cash Money honcho flips out on-air.
Birdman is not a happy camper. The Cash Money Records honcho—who signed everyone from Drake and Nicki Minaj—flipped out on the Power 105.1's morning show in NYC today and threatened the hosts, "Respect me, or else!"
According to TMZ, Birdman came to the popular radio program with an entourage of six or seven people. He begins by stating, "Stop playing with my f*cking name!" He puts on his shades and then says, "N*gga, when my name comes up respect it!" Insert awkward silences. "Get it off your chest. I don't understand the anger," says host Charlamagne. "I wanted to talk to you like a man in his face...Straight up like a man," says Birdman. "Put some respect on my name." He then walks out, leaving everyone bewildered.
It's unclear where this drama stems from but TMZ points out that the show has poked fun at Cash Money for not paying artists like Lil Wayne. This shouldn't be news to Birdman, though. In 2015, Wayne sued Cash Money for $51 million over allegedly not paying him.
