Channing Tatum Is Turning 'Magic Mike' Into A Real, Live Strip Show
Get your dollar bills ready, ladies!
Get your dollar bills ready. Channing Tatum is turning his hit movie Magic Mike into a live strip show just for the ladies. The actor will debut Magic Mike Live in March 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
"We want to create a place for women that is their gentlemen's club, their Playboy club. It shouldn't be sleazy," he tells Cosmo. "[You shouldn't feel] nervous to go there because you feel unsafe; we want to create the polar opposite of that." The hunky actor will direct the show and Alison Faulk and Teresa Espinosa (who worked on the Magic Mike movies) will choreograph.
Channing has some experience in the field, being a former stripper himself. "Even when I was actually stripping, it didn't feel like it was for the women. It felt like it was more for the guy to go up and feel good about himself. It was like, 'Hey, look at me.'"
The biggest question of course, is whether Channing will take the stage to show off his expertise. "If I'm ever in shape enough to do that again, I'll absolutely go out and have a fun night or two," he says.
We're so ready.
